The Paw Index is a one-person business, not a data company. We use Google Analytics to see which pages people actually read. We do not collect your name, email, or payment details on this site, and we do not sell data to anyone.
Analytics and what they see
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use it. What that shows us:
- Which pages get viewed, and in what order
- How you arrived (a search engine, a LinkedIn post, a direct link)
- General device and browser type
- Approximate location, at the city or country level, estimated from your IP address
We see this as aggregate numbers, not as individual people. Google Analytics does not tell us your name, your email address, or your exact location, and we do not combine it with anything that would identify you.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies (small text files stored by your browser) so it can tell a returning visit apart from a brand new one. That is the only reason cookies are used here.
You can block or delete them anytime in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Everything on this site, including the calculator, works exactly the same without them.
The newsletter signup
The signup form on this site is hosted by Substack, a third party. When you subscribe, your email address goes to Substack, not to any list we run ourselves. Substack handles that data under its own privacy policy, and every email includes an unsubscribe link.
If you buy the playbook or the worksheet
Purchases are handled by Gumroad, not by this site. Your payment details go to Gumroad and are covered by its privacy policy. We never see or store your card information.
The free online calculator
The numbers you type into the Pricing & Margin Calculator stay in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to us or stored on a server, and the Excel file it produces is generated on your own device. Your costs and margins are your business.
What we never do
- Sell, rent, or trade your information
- Run advertising trackers or retargeting pixels on this site
- Ask for personal details you don't need to give us
Changes to this policy
If what we collect changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top gets updated. There is no separate notification list for privacy updates.
